Old vs New

Quality furniture has a far greater life span than cheap imports do. While cheap imports may save you money in the short term, they generally date faster and wear easily, meaning you'll need to toss and replace more frequently. If you are constantly changing the look and feel of your home, this may be a suitable option, but if you are conscious of the environment, the impact of waste and want something to last a life time, a good solid vintage or mid-century piece recovered and restored would be the best option.

The value of retro and mid-century pieces continues to increase and as we all know, old styles become stylish again and again. Restoring and recovering an old piece can either bring it back to it's former glory with vintage fabrics or add a modern fabric option to suit it to your home for a more unique and modern look.

One thing we do know, is they don't make them like they used to, so opting for a vintage piece will see to it that you not only have something of quality to stand the test of time, but you can have it tailored to your taste and over time, it will save you money as you won't need to constantly replace it as trends date or your furniture becomes worn.
